Gregory S. Moss' LA BREA Debuts Tonight with Clubbed Thumb's SUMMERWORKS (6/20/2013) - The third of three world-premieres presented by the 5-time Obie Award-winning Clubbed Thumb in its 18th annual SUMMERWORKS festival of new plays -- LA BREA by Gregory S. Moss -- begins previews tonight, June 20 prior to its official press opening June 23 at The Wild Project (195 E. 3 St.) in Manhattan. LA BREA performs daily at 8 p.m. from June 20 to 29. (No performance on June 24.)

David Abeles to Join THE GREAT COMET OF 1812 as 'Pierre,' Beginning 7/9 (6/19/2013) - David Abeles (Once, Original Cast Member) will take over the role of 'Pierre' in the hit downtown production ofNATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812 beginning Tuesday, July 9th. Dave Malloy, the show's creator, will play his final performance as 'Pierre' Friday, June 21st, as he leaves to work on several new projects including commissions from LCT3, San Francisco's American Conservatory Theater, and the Youth Musical Theater Company in Berkeley, as well as upcoming shows at the Incubator Arts Project and The Bushwick Starr. From June 22nd through July 7th, the role of 'Pierre' will be played by Luke Holloway.

STOMP Named 'Legend of Off Broadway' at 2013 Off Broadway Alliance Awards (6/19/2013) - Yesterday STOMP received a "Legend of Off Broadway" Award from The Off Broadway Alliance, the organization of Off Broadway producers, theaters, general managers, press agents and marketing professionals. The award is given for sustained achievement in the world of Off Broadway. Accepting on behalf of the show's creators Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas were original cast member and current New York rehearsal director Fiona Wilkes, and current cast member Jason Mills.

NATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812 Announces New Rush Policy (6/18/2013) - NATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812 has announced its new rush ticketing policy, available for select performances, beginning immediately. Beginning this week, there will be $49 tickets available for Wednesday matinees, Saturday early evening performances, and Sunday matinees. Rush tickets can be purchased at the box office of Kazino (West 13th Street and Washington Street) beginning 2 hours prior to the posted curtain time, as well as online at www.thegreatcometof1812.com beginning the day of the performance at 10am by using the code RUSH at check-out. Food and drink is not included with the purchase of a rush ticket.

Photo Flash: Meet the Cast of I FORGIVE YOU, RONALD REAGAN Off-Broadway (6/18/2013) - The producers of I Forgive You, Ronald Reagan, the new play by John S. Anastasi, in which the present is on a collision course with the past, present a limited Off-Broadway run this summer. Directed by Charles Abbott, performances will begin at The Beckett Theatre (410 West 42nd Street - between 9th & 10th Aves.) on Monday, July 15. Prospect Theater Hosts UNLOCK'D Talkback with Carner & Gregor Tonight (6/19/2013) - Prospect Theater Company will offer a $20 ticket lottery for their upcoming Off-Broadway production of UNLOCK'D. Performances began June 16, 2013 at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street project. Producers have also announced that a post-performance talkback with Carner and Gregor will be held following tonight's June 19 performance.

Official: COLIN QUINN UNCONSTITUTIONAL to Re-Open at Cherry Street Theatre, 7/4 (6/18/2013) - Due to popular demand and after receiving rave reviews, Colin Quinn Unconstitutional, (www.ColinQuinnUnconstitutional.com) a new comedy written by and starring Colin Quinn, will transfer to The Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street) for a 3 week run: July 4 - July 23rd. Colin Quinn Unconstitutional, is presented by Brillstein Entertainment Partners and Mike Lavoie.

The awards honor outstanding achievement in Off Broadway theater for the 2012-2013 season. All recipients will be on hand to receive their awards.

BUYER & CELLAR Begins Previews Off-Broadway at Barrow Street Theatre Tonight (6/18/2013) - The off-Broadway comedy, Buyer & Cellar, starring Michael Urie ("Ugly Betty"), written by Jonathan Tolins, and directed by Stephen Brackett, begins performances tonight at 7:30pm at the Barrow Street Theatre. The opening night is set for Monday, June 24 at 7:30pm.

BUYER & CELLAR, Starring Michael Urie, Transfers to Barrow Street Theatre, Now thru 6/24 (6/18/2013) - Producers Darren Bagert, Dan Shaheen, and Ted Snowdon have announced that the hit comedy Buyer & Cellar, starring Michael Urie ('Ugly Betty'), written by Jonathan Tolins, and directed by Stephen Brackett, will transfer to the Barrow Street Theatre for a ten-week engagement beginning tonight, June 18, at 7:30pm and opening Monday, June 24. Tickets go on sale today.

(6/17/2013) - According to Deadline.com, following its run at Barrow Street Theatre, COLIN QUINN UNCONSTITUTIONAL will be re-opening at Cherry Lane Theatre on July 4. The show is a new comedy written by and starring Colin Quinn, SNL's former 'Weekend Update' correspondent.
